Radiolab's 'The Fix' Brings to Light the Nation's Underuse of Naltrexone, Suboxone

Back in December of 2015, Radiolab broadcasted a piece titled 'The Fix'. For those who aren't familiar with Radiolab, it's a radio show that can be heard around the country on more than 500 member stations where the hosts, as they put it, talk about the space "where sound illuminates ideas, and the boundaries blue between science, philosophy, and human expereince".

The subject of this particular show aired back in December was to bring to light the ways in which individuals perceive addiction, and if there's a feasible way to cure addiction with a doctor-prescribed, FDA-approved drug. Of course, at Evans we know that such aids exist (i.e. Suboxone and Naltrexone), but this broadcast highlights the underuse and lack of knowledge surrounding both drugs, particularly Naltrexone.
